Cotech is proudly recruiting for a major Southern contractor based in Berkshire, who due to growth plans is looking to take on an experienced Senior Estimator. As a major player in the industry and with competitors in the top 10, our client is responsible for delivering projects of excellent quality across a range of sectors. Some of their work includes schools, leisure centres, hotels and residential typically up to £20m, but also tendering for bigger schemes up to £70m.

 

The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to take on a key role within the company. For this role you will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive tenders across a range of sectors. You will need a good attitude towards taking on responsibility with a good record of estimating across a range of contract types. You will be motivated to succeed and progress whilst making an impact on the company’s new business, growth and turnover. Your role is essential in winning new work and making profit.

**Competitive tendering, and single and 2-stage tendering is a must**

 

Your tasks will include:

• Establishing what the client wants

• Researching materials, equipment and labour costs

• Gathering quotes from sub contractors and suppliers

• Assessing risk levels on a project

• Analysing exchange rates and prices using software packages

• Preparing and submitting quotations

• Assisting with bids for new contracts

• Supporting buying activities

 

You will ideally have a construction related degree (BSc or MSc) or as a minimum have a relevant level 4 qualification (HNC or NVQ4 etc.) and hold appropriate CSCS card.

 

On offer is a salary of up to £80k + company benefits package.
