Cotech is proudly recruiting for a major UK contractor, based in Hampshire, who is currently looking to appoint a Design Coordinator. These projects include; Schools, Colleges, Universities, Offices, Hospitals, Leisure Centres, Care Homes, Houses, Flats and more.

Role and Responsibilities

 

As a Design Coordinator, some of your duties will include:

 

• Leading the design process to produce accurate information in line with the agreed spec and cost plan.

• Manage the appointment of consultants and ensure they perform in line with the agreed scope of services.

• Develop a design programme with the consultants.

• Provide cost effective technical solutions.

• Chair design team meetings and issue actions to all involved within 2 working days.

 

Ideally, you will have previous experience working for a contractor, with experience of various forms of construction technology. You must have sound understanding of CAD and Microsoft Office and previous experience of project delivery. You will be able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications and have some exposure to managing specialist designers/subcontracts. Some knowledge of BIM would also be beneficial.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant level 4 qualification (ONC / NVQ4 etc.)

• CSCS card

• Driving license

 

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £45k - £50k + package.
